I work with children, adolescents, adults and families that are impacted by OCD and anxiety disorders. The work we are doing together is difficult, scary and can feel overwhelming. I believe in bringing my authenticity to this work and supporting your journey with compassion and understanding. I also believe in using humor when appropriate (sometimes it feels really good to laugh in the face of OCD).
With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I bring to my work an abundance of knowledge and diverse skills. I graduated from Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling in 2015 and specialized in treating children and adolescents. My work in psychiatric residential treatment has prepared me in managing crisis and competency in supporting clients through depression, self-harm and suicidal ideation. I also supported families in crisis learning how to increase healthy communication, set appropriate boundaries, and increase safety and stability. My work in an outpatient clinic specializing in ERP allowed me to pursue my passion in treating OCD and anxiety disorders and gain expertise in supporting clients as they engage in the process of healing from these debilitating disorders.
I am trained in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) through the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI). This is a training supported through the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), who’s mission is to spread awareness of OCD and increase efficacy in treating anxiety disorders. The IOCDF supports finding clinicians trained in ERP as this is considered the gold standard in OCD treatment.
